This comes a day after a section of youths opposed to Nyagarama called for suspension of Nyamira Youth League officials after hosting the county governor.

But on Thursday, Bosire termed the claims that he was behind Nyagarama’s woes in the Orange party as ‘petty’, and challenged Dominic Matoke, a close confident of the governor to substantiate his claims.

“I only serve as ODM national Treasurer and I am rarely involved in issues to do with our county. As a party we respect the rights of all members whether they agree with us or not,” he said.

“It’s petty for someone to say that I was behind calls for Nyagarama to be banished from the party. I have no right to do so and the man making such silly claims should substantiate,” Bosire added.

He said no one was assured of the party’s nomination, saying only the Election Board was responsible for issuance of nomination certificates.

“People should not start panicking on nominations because the party will issue the certificates based on people’s choice. Not even myself is sure of the party’s nomination certificate because the election board is mandated to issue them based on people’s say,” he added.

“The fact that I am not in good terms with the governor doesn’t mean I am out to frustrate him within the party,” Bosire said.

Nyagarama has been facing criticism from a section of party loyalist from the county who accuse him of being disloyal to the party.
