Nkaissery, formerly Kajiado Central MP on an ODM ticket, has been traversing Central Kenya regions putting chiefs on pressure to rescue president Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection bid by mobilising locals to register as voters.

And Nkaissery's recent political tours have not gone done well with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) national treasurer, who now wants Nkaissery to direct his energies on restoring peace in the troubled Pokot-Turkana border.

"It is so amusing that someone can abandon his responsibility and assume roles of IEBC or politicians. Nkaissery should wake up and do what Kenyans are paying him for," he posted on a Nyamira Whatsap group.

He added: "There a lot of insecurity in Pokot and Turkana where Kenyans are dying daily. The CS is busy doing a wrong duty and we really need to know his job description."

While in Kiambu on Saturday, Nkaissery threatened to sack chiefs from regions which will register low number of voters.
