Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) national treasurer Timothy Bosire has challenged Kenyans to vie opposition leader Raila Odinga as a Kenyan rather than a Luo.
Odinga is expected to throw his forth and perhaps the last bid for presidency in 2017 against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a recorded audio to Nyamira ODM Youth League, Bosire insisted that the veteran politician had used his entire life to defend all Kenyans regardless of their ethnic affiliation.
“I want to urge all Kenyans to vie Raila Odinga as a Kenyan and not a Luo. He has spent his entire life fighting for ordinary people regardless of their tribe and that is why he remains ideal to lead this country,” he said.
“He always says what he means and that is his personal principles. We have an opportunity to rally behind him so that he wins presidency in 2017 polls,” he added.
The Kitutu Masaba MP has been a trusted lieutenant of Odinga and is key in Odinga’s quest for Kisii votes.
