The ODM National Treasurer and Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has slammed the newly launched Jubilee Party following it’s loss in the Nyacheki by-election, insisting its alleged use of money would not sway the perception of voters.
The Jubilee Party’s candidate Maxwell Magoma emerged second after the ODM candidate Naphtali Onkoba in an election that saw several Jubilee allied politicians harassed by angry ODM youths.
Bosire while addressing hundreds of ODM supporters on Wednesday evening, lauded Nyacheki residents for "eating the Jubilee money and voting for ODM."
“We saw them come here with bags of money but you humbly ate the money and cast your vote to the right party and candidate. You have communicated to the nation that Jubilee money cannot stop a revolution,” he said.
“Some of the well-known people were moving aimlessly bribing people everywhere but when a revolution comes, it’s unstoppable. I would like to ask you to stand with the party (ODM) in 2017 so that we deliver the presidency,” added Bosire.
The legislator insisted that Gusii region was an ODM zone and challenged politicians who were still rallying Jubilee to decamp to the opposition before next year's elections.
