The country's number two has been holding delegations which have caused discomfort among his critics who accuse him of early campaigns.

But the former Kitutu Masaba MP insists that the DP will be dropped by Jubilee by 2022 elections adding that his decision to dump Raila Odinga in 2013 will haunt him.

"Let us not assume that we don't know the trend of the country's politics. The truth is, Ruto cannot be our president, not soon.

"In fact, should he have remained steady in ODM, the dream would have been achieved. However, by 2022, Jubilee will abandon him and that is the trend," he said.

For the past few weeks, Ruto has been holding delegations and he is rumoured to be funding Gusii unity secretly.

In the unity pact, sources say, Ruto would later on offer the community leadership a stake if he forms the next government.
