In a Tuesday article penned by the legislator in the Star, Bosire dismissed the opinion polls by different pollsters that have ranked the former Prime Minister second in popularity, adding that Raila could elude all odds and win the presidency.

"In this country, opinion polls have not predicted the election results consistently when it comes to the outcomes of national elections," Bosire said.

"Pollsters have gotten it wrong many times, and this year the former Prime Minister will defy all odds to become Kenya’s fifth president," he added.

Raila's vast experience in politics and the Opposition places him in a pole position for a presidential win, Bosire further argues.

"Raila has been and remains the foremost opposition presidential contender: He will deliver a resounding victory at the August 8 General Election," he quipped.

"Raila is the most popular opposition leader we have," the ODM national treasurer concludes.

The Opposition, however, is yet to settle on a presidential candidate, with Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC's Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula all seeking the presidency.
