Timothy Bosire says President Uhuru Kenyatta is welcome in Nyamira but warned that the region will not vote for him in August.
The Kitutu Masaba MP who also doubles as ODM national treasurer adds that Gusii community will vote for opposition outfit NASA given its transformative policies for Kenyans.
“I hear that the president is coming and I want to say that he is welcome. It is campaign period and he is allowed to traverse the region,” Bosire told the Star.
He further said: “They will listen to him but he should know that in August we are supporting NASA. His Jubilee regime has failed Kenyans by being unable to fulfill his pledges.”
On Wednesday, Kenyatta is expected to traverse the vast county and will make stop overs at Nyamira town, Magombo and Rigoma trading centres.
Recently, Jubilee strategists earmarked both Kisii and Nyamira counties as tossups and since then, Jubilee leadership has pitched tent in the vote rich region.
In 2013, Odinga vanquished President Kenyatta then of Jubilee coalition by managing over 70 percent of total votes from the region.
