A boy has died in Bungoma after a woman locked him up in their car and went to see her lover in a hotel room.
According to the Star, the eight-year-old child was left in the car so that the mother could have uninterrupted moments with the lover in an incident that took place in Bumula area.
The woman who was identified as Christine Nasimuyu is said to have gone to a secret place away from the public.
She left the child with three bottles of soda.
The woman and her lover later escaped death after police rescued them from an angry mob that threatened to lynch them.
The boy's body was taken to Bungoma Referral hospital mortuary while police took to custody the mother and her lover at the Bumala police station.
It is said that the boy might have succumbed to rising temperatures in the car which might have caused hyperthermia and then death.
