Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has said NASA's threats to boycott repeat of polls will be an easy job for President Uhuru Kenyatta to be sworn in as the next president.

The Elgeyo Marakwet County senator said it is not a must for NASA leader Raila Odinga to participate in the election.

This after Odinga on Tuesday morning rejected IEBC's announcement that October 17, 2017 as the set date for the repeat of polls.

Odinga said IEBC has not consulted all parties.

But, Jubilee's Murkomen said the opposition should respect the rule of law and independent institutions."IEBC is an independent commission and should not be directed on how to do its work," he said.He urged the opposition to stop giving conditions to be on the ballot.

"Let them boycott and Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in as the next president. It will be an easy job for us," Murkomen said.

He said as Jubilee, they are ready for the election at any time.
