Machakos County deputy governor Bernard Kiala has vowed to give Wavinya Ndeti and Governor Alfred Mutua a run for their money in the race for gubernatorial seat in the August 8, polls.

Kiala who on Wednesday announced that he will be contesting an independent candidate, said that Machakos people have faith in him.

The deputy governor indicated that he has a vision for Machakos adding that his bid is unstoppable.

“I am ready to battle with Wavinya and Mutua for the Machakos governor seat and I will give them a run for their money,” he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Kiala who addressed journalists in Machakos claimed that he was rigged out in the Wiper gubernatorial nominations.

“Everyone knows that I was rigged out but my bid to contest for the Machakos top seat is unstoppable,” he said.

Kiala accused Wiper party of treating him like a stranger. “I have been loyal to Kalonzo but he ended up treating me like a stranger,” Kiala added.

The Machakos deputy governor was twice trounced by Wavinya Ndeti in the Wiper nomination.

The deputy governor who has since ditched Kalonzo’s party claimed that the nomination exercise was allegedly rigged in favour of Wavinya Ndeti.

Kiala, Ndeti and Jubilee Party’s Lemmy Muia are seeking to unseat Governor Alfred Mutua who will be defending the seat on Maendeleo Chap Chap Party in the August 8, polls.
