Haji, the Garissa Senator Yusuf Hajis’ younger brother says that he has the numbers to beat Jama and Korane in the August 8 polls.
Speaking during a campaign rally at Masalani in Garissa on Wednesday, the Amani National Congress (ANC) governor aspirant vowed to give Jama and Korane a run for their money on August 8.
He said that he has an agenda for the locals. “I want to plead with Garissa people to endorse my bid on August 8 for a transformative and servant leadership government,” he said.
Bashir also asked locals not to listen to the propaganda being propaganda being peddled by rivals against him, stating that he is a true servant who is seeking to serve his people.
The ANC governor hopeful pledged to transform Garissa into an industrial hub through trade, employment creation and infrastructure development.
While criticizing Governor Jama’s administration, Bashir urged residents to come out in large numbers and vote for change. Governor Jama is facing stiff hurdle in his quest to retain the seat.
Jama is seeking re-election on Wiper party ticket while Korane is contesting on Jubilee Party ticket.
