A show of bravery and team work was exhibited in Kisumu county on Sunday after a father and his 13-year-old daughter managed to overpower a robber armed with a G3 riffle in their house.
On realising he was out muscled, the criminal ran leaving behind the G3 riffle in a robbery gone wrong in Seme, Kisumu county.
County commissioner Mohamed Maalim said the firearm was stolen from one of the AP camps in the county in 2015.
"There was no ammunition in the gun. It was an act of bravery for the family to snatch it from the robber,: said Maalim.
Police are currently were pursuing the suspect.
