Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed has responded to rape ordeal at Moi Girl's School by dissolving the institution's Board of Management.
Also, the Parents's Teachers Association has been dissolved in a raft of measures to improve the security at the institution.
On Saturday morning, news about raping of a Form 2 student and harassment of a host of others by unidentified people dominated the local media.
Already, the institution's principal Jael Mureithi has reportedly opted for early retirement amid investigations in the ordeal that has left the country shocked.
With the institution closed, the minister has announced that all students should report back on 10th June by 5pm local time.
Deputy Principal Omusula Florence has since taken over in an acting capacity with the minister posting five security officers.
