One man has been pronounced dead during the demonstrations in Kisumu today. It is reported he died after being shot. Police are yet to respond to the allegations.
Other reports suggest that the young man who died was not taking part in the demo but was caught up by a stray bullet as he went to buy ice cream vending business.
However, according to one eye witness, the late youngman was shot from behind by the police as he went out to buy ice cream.
According to Kenya Human Rights Watch, 67 Kenyans have died over the execissive use of force by police since August in incidents related to polls.
