Raila was accompanied by Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok and Turkana Central MP John Lodepe.

The governor has accused an area MP of inciting the youths to disrupt the Friday afternoon rally.

“We have been told that one MP incited youths to come our meeting and disrupt it. We did not even have a chance to address the rally as stones were thrown at us. We also heard gunshots and we left to our next point which was Lokichar,” Nanok said, as quoted by Nation.

Raila condemned the act by the rowdy youths, saying it was unfortunate for an MP to instruct youth to carry stones to a rally.

“The MP told some of the youths to carry stones and firearms to our rally and target Raila Odinga," Raila said.

The ODM leader is on a three-day tour in Turkana to popularise opposition outfit, NASA.
