IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has dismissed his personal assistant Gekara Muoni.

Muoni has been fired for leaking confidential documents from Chebukati's office.

Some of the documents that were leaked included an internal memo in which Chebukati sought answers from IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba on the bungled August 8 election.

This came after the supreme court found irregularities and anomalies in the August polls.

According to The Star, Muoni also tried to get his mother nominated as a ward representative in Nyamira county, in violation of his contract.
