The Court of appeal on Friday morning upheld the nullification of Governor Ahmed Abdi (Wajir) win by the High Court.

It said that the Governor was not validly elected on the August 8, 2017 elections.

In his petition Governor Abdi wanted the court of appeal to nullify the decision by the High Court that saw him lose his seat.

In his ruling on January High Court Judge Alfred Mabeya said that the Governor failed to produce his academic forms.

He also said that the Governor did not clear with the electoral agency IEBC and declared his election null and void.
