High Court sitting in Nyamira has dismissed a petition filed against area Governor John Nyagarama that has attracted interest from both ODM and Jubilee parties.
Filed by Walter Nyambati of Jubilee, Justice James Makau, in his ruling noted that elections were in a 'free, fair and verifiable' manner.
"Having perused evidence submitted by both applicant and respondents, I hereby rule that elections were held in a free and fair manner," he said in his ruling.
He further said: "The minor error detected in vote scrutiny could not sway the final outcome announced by first respondent."
The ruling marks the culmination of cut throat competition between the two major parties, which has apparently led to persistent threats between supporters of rival camps.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is the major loser given his previous declaration that he will ensure Jubilee gets justice in court.
During the August polls, Governor Nyagarama scooped 65,400 votes to Nyambati's 59,700 in a tightly contested race.
