Police have stormed the home of former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale in Malinya.
Reasons for the raid have not been revealed yet.
In a tweet made on Tuesday, the former legislator said armed officers arrived in two Land Rovers and two trucks.
"Four police vehicles with police have just stormed my home demanding to search it," he said.
According to the Star, western region police commander Moses Ombati has confirmed the raid although he did not reveal more details.
"Let's wait for the officers to complete the search so we can see what they come up with."
Ombati noted that the officers had received a search warrant.
