Property worth millions is reported to have been destroyed o Monday morning after fire razed down a domitory at HGM Vitale boarding primary school in Kathonzweni, Makueni county.

The fire is reported to have been started around 4 am while students were out for preps. According to school principal David Muthike no pupil was injured in the inferno.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, but area OCPD said investigations are underway.

“The cause of the fire is still unknown but we suspect an electric fault,” said Muthike.

The dormitory accommodated around 300 pupils.

County fire fighters arrived on the scene at around 8.30am when the fire had already destroyed everything.
