The High Court has ordered the Inspector General of Police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to produce self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna in court today at 2:00 pm.
Justice Luka Kimaru ordered that Miguna be presented without fail cautioning against confrontation with the courts.
Miguna's Lawyer Edwin Sifuna confirmed the directive on his Twitter page stating that, " High Court has ordered IG and DCI to produce Miguna by 2 pm or be cited for contempt."
On Friday, the court ordered the release of the vocal lawyer but he was again rearrested and held in custody over the weekend.
On Sunday, Sifuna confirmed that his client had suffered an asthma attack but the police refused to grant him access to hand over medication to Miguna.
"It's true. We received information that Miguna suffered an Asthma attack. I have with me an inhaler but the OCS has become hostile. He won't let me see my client give him the medication," Sifuna posted.
