[Photo|Daily Nation]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has postponed election in four counties of the Luo Nyanza region.The counties include Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya, and Migori.Wafula Chebukati, said the elections would be held on Saturday 28.Addressing the press during an update on the state of the election, Chebukati cited security concerns in the said counties, after residents turned violent, barricading roads using stones and bonfires, preventing ferrying of election materials.Chebukati, Thursday, said the Commission was doing everything to ensure the voting exercise goes on smoothly, adding that government had assured heightened security.During the postponement, Chebukati said he had the constitutional powers to postpone an election in any part of the country.
