IEBC has declined NASA' s withdrawal from the October 26 fresh presidential polls stating that they received the withdrawal letter with no filled statutory Form 24A.

In a comprehensive memo released to media houses on Wednesday evening, IEBC clearly stated that as the constitution demands, they will include all the eight presidential contestants in the polls.

IEBC outlined that they had gazetted Raila Odinga with Uhuru Kenyatta as the main participants in the poll but due to the High Court ruling on Wednesday, arrangements are underway to slot in the rest of the contestants.

However, IEBC further stated that the commission shall not compel any candidate to participate in the polls. It laid out in the memo that in an event that a candidate feels they would not take part, the should hand in their letter alongside dully filed Form 24A.
