It is now official that repeat polls between Uhuru and Raila will not be held on October 17 as it had been initially announced by the IEBC.
An official letter shared on IEBC Facebook page has indicated that the elections will be held on October 26.

The letter signed by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati stated that the change of date was informed by the Wednesday comprehensive ruling by the Supreme Court on the nullification of August 8 presidential results.
"In order to ensure that the commission is fully prepared to deliver an election that meets the standards set by the Supreme Court. We wish to notify the public and all stakeholders that the fresh presidential elections shall now be on Thursday, 26 October," read the letter.
Chebukati further stated that the general public will be informed about the commission's preparedness on the fresh polls on Friday, 22.
