Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has formally decamped to the Jubilee Party from the National Super Alliance (Nasa).
Ruto, who lost to Joyce Laboso in the August 8 general election, has been a Nasa principal since April 20, 2017.
The Chama Cha Mashinani leader on Friday joined President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for a rally in Kapkatet Stadium.
The former governor has been a strong critic of Jubilee administration, accusing Uhuru and Ruto of condoning corruption.
He has, however, kept a low profile ever since he was floored in the August election.
Ruto, when asked about his silence early this week said, "I am in NASA to stay. I have decided to maintain a low profile to allow Bomet people to settle. I know the election was marred with a lot of irregularities since government machinery were used to intimidate my supporters."
Last week, Nasa principal Musalia Mudavadi denied reports that Ruto was headed to Jubilee.
The former governor has been missing in action, and never appeared at the Supreme Court when Nasa filed a petition challenging Uhuru's win.
He has also been absent from Nasa press conferences and public rallies.
