[Photo|Othaya Yetu]Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakura has been rushed to hospital alongside his driver following a grisly road accident on Tuesday morning.The Mercedes-Benz they were traveling in crashed into an opening of a guard rail on the roadside and drove through it for several metres damaging the car.Reports indicate the driver was pulled out of the vehicle by good samaritans with crushed legs as the Jubilee governor remained trapped moments before he was rescued and taken to Thika Hospital.The accident happened at Kabati Makenji area on the Thika-Murang'a highway.It is said the governor was headed to Nairobi for a talk show.
