The High Court has nullified the election of Wajir Governor Mohammed Abdi Mohamud.

The court ruled on Friday that Abdi was not legally cleared to vie.

The presiding judge Justice Fred Mabeya also ruled that Abdi did not have a valid degree to vie for governor seat.

Justice Mabeya also indicated that many voters were assisted in voting thereby compromising the integrity of the process and consequently results.

The petition was filed by former Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi.
