NASA coalition Deputy Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka met his co-principal Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula on Sunday.
An update by Wetagula's Ford Kenya party said the two were in a closed door consultative meeting. Reports said they held a five-hour meeting from 3pm.
"In a closed door consultative meeting," the update accompanying photos read on Sunday evening at around 8:30 pm.
Also present were ex-Machakos senator Johnson Muthama, Ford Kenya Deputy Party Leader ex-Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale, Tongaren MP Dr Eseli Simiyu and Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa among other Wiper and Ford Kenya party leaders.
ANC Secretary General Barack Muluka represented Musalia Mudavadi.
Their meeting comes two days after NASA leader Raila Odinga met President Uhuru Kenyatta, in a surprise meeting, which Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi said they were not involved.
The meeting also comes even as all the four NASA coalition principals are scheduled for a meeting on Monday, March 12 following the meeting between Raila and Uhuru at Harambee House on Friday.
On Friday, Ford-Kenya party leader said he learned about the meeting through the media, adding that he alongside Mudavadi, and Musyoka would seek an explanation from Odinga why he chose to meet Kenyatta without consulting them.
On Saturday while in a burial ceremony in Machakos, Kalonzo said his heart felt calm since the meeting showed there was good blood between the two leaders.
"I am a happy man now. I feel very calm," said Kalonzo on Saturday, adding that NASA coalition principals would convene a meeting on Monday to align issues raised.
Kalonzo's sentiments came hours after he, alongside Mudavadi and Wetangula issued a statement saying they were not consulted.
"While we have always advocated for dialogue, as Co-Principals of the NASA Coalition, we were not privy to the discussions at Harambee House. The Four NASA Co-principals have however scheduled a retreat on Monday 12th March, 2018 when we shall deliberate on the political developments," read a statement signed by the three principals on Friday.
