Former Constitutional Affairs minister Martha Karua has yet again had her efforts to overturn Kirinyaga gubernatorial elections thrown own by High Court.
Appeals court had in March ordered the petition against Governor Ann Waiguru heard afresh with the judges maintaining that the November decision by High Court that had Karua's case dismissed was 'harsh'.
And on Thursday, Justice Lucy Gitari dismissed yet again the petition citing lack of evidence by Karua to support her argument.
In her case, Karua had cited barring of her agents during the election day, bribery, tempering of ballot boxes, illegalities and irregularities among others.
Justice Gitari stated that the August elections were free, fair, transparent and credible contrary to Karua's argument through lawyer Gitobu Imanyara.
While both politicians supported President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection, Karua ran on Narc-Kenya while Waiguru was the Jubilee candidate.
