Political pundits had predicted a Lusaka win after the former county boss was endorsed by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday at State House when he met Jubilee MPs and Senators.

Lusaka beat his closet rival NASA's Farah Maalim on the second round of voting after he failed to get at least 45 votes against the available 67 in the first round.
