[Photo|Gurtong Trust]IEBC has received a reprieve, after the High Court dismissed a case in which three voters sued its staff.The voters, Brian Asin, Ben Wanasakaami, and Kevin Alwang’a wanted orders to bar IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, CEO Ezra Chiloba and the six commissioners, from presiding over the October 26 fresh presidential elections.In his ruling, Monday morning, Justice Mutivo, said the case lacked merit, adding that the Supreme Court did not find the bosses culpable of any crime, in the August 8 presidential election. The election was nullified after NASA contested the outcome.

The petitioners argued that the integrity of the IEBC officials to hold credible elections was in question.

They cited Chiloba, Chebukati, Consolata Maina (vice chairman), as respondents.

Commissioners Dr Roselyn Akombe, Prof Abdi Guliye, Margaret Mwachanya, Paul Kurgat, and Boya Molu, were also cited as respondents.
