Police have arrested the Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa.

Nation reports minority whip in the National Assembly Junet Mohamed confirmed Aladwa was arrested from his Buruburu home on Friday night.

 He is currently being held at Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Headquarters in Kiambu.

The reason behind Aladwa's arrest is yet to be known.

Arrest of Opposition leaders has been ongoing since Raila was sworn-in as the 'People's President' on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang was arrested on Wednesday and released on Thursday while the National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna was arrested on Friday. He is yet to be released despite a court order.
