An order from the Appeal Tribunal has blocked the announcement of ODM election results for the gubernatorial race in Migori County. Aspirant Ochillo Ayacko, who is battling Governor Okoth Obado, obtained the order that bars the election officials from releasing the outcome of the ODM primaries that were conducted yesterday. Mr Ayacko, a former Cabinet minister, alleges that there were election malpractices. “We have served the order of stoppage of the entire process,” Ayacko told reporters. “You have seen that one particular candidate is holding the whole process hostage,” he alleged. Ayacko said he went to the tribunal after noticing that the returning officer was doing what he was supposed to do.
