Miguna Miguna was on Monday evening bundled into an Emirates Flight EK722 to Dubai, back to Canada.
A bunch of security officers bundled the self-proclaimed NRM general into the plane, tearing his suit as he screamed, protesting and refusing to take a seat.Miguna protested the deportation while on the plane, in a live footage by Citizen TV, saying immigration officials illegally bundled him to the plane. He would be seen in the plane that had over 400 passengers explaining to the Emirates Airline officials that he had no passport to enable him fly out of the country. The plane had not left the airport during all this time."I'm not going! I'm not going! I'm not boarding! I'm not boarding because I don't have a passport! The captain cannot fly! You cannot take me away from my own country! Kill me.. I'm not afraid of your gun! I'm not going to Dubai," protested Miguna, at around 11pm.
"Look at how they've torn my clothes," he added.
Moments later, doors of the plane were closed and he was not on the flight, as confirmed by Jeff Koinange who was on-board to Hamburg, Germany.
Earlier, while at JKIA, Miguna had said the government was planning to re-deport him and refused to leave lounge. "They want to take me to Dubai.... I am not going, they say they want to remove me by force but they would have to kill me first. I am a Kenyan by birth...." he said.
