Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna will return back in Kenya from Canada, on Monday, March 26. This is according to his lawyer, Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Miguna who has been the self-proclaimed general of the now defunct NASA coalition's National Resistance Movement (NRM), was arrested, detained and deported following his links with the controversial swearing-in of opposition leader Raila Odinga, on January 30.
According to Orengo, Miguna would return aboard Ethiopian Airline flight.
"Miguna Miguna will be arriving on Monday 26 March on an Ethiopian Airway flight at 10.30 in the morning," said the senior counsel on Friday when he appeared before the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights.
He appeared before the rights body to urge it to ensure Miguna's safety and constitutional rights are observed when he arrives.
Miguna had criticised the Jubilee administration for deporting him 'illegally', saying he would return since Kenya was his mother land.
The court later declared his deportation illegal and directed the government to ensure he returns safely.
