Mombasa Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi escaped death by a whisker following a road accident on Wednesday night.

Kingi was on his to Naivasha inin Nakuru county for a deputy governors' caucus meeting in company of other five colleagues.

In a communication, he said they received minor injuries after the car they were travelling in rolled upside down.

"God is Great. Last night on our way to Naivasha for a Deputy Governors' caucus meeting, we were involved in an accident. The 5 of us got out of that wreckage with minor bruises. I thank the Almighty God for his protection," Kingi said on Thursday afternoon.
