Barely a week after joining Raila Odinga's NASA coalition, immediate former Meru Governor Peter Munya has dumped the former Prime Minister and has declared that he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid.
Munya who joined NASA as the fifth principal was to fill the void left by former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto who rejoined Jubilee and vowed to support Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto.
Manya's u-turn comes at a time the coalition has seen mass exodus of their members who lost during the August 8 elections who have vowed to campaign for Uhuru.
The firebrand Munya was expected to deliver Meru's over 700,000 votes to Raila Odinga who expects to better his tally of over 50,000 votes he garnered during August 8.
Odinga is expected to face off with Uhuru in a repeat presidential election which is slated for October 17 following the nullification of the August 8 contest by the Supreme Court.
