The Technical Committee appointed by the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders to identify a strong line-up to tackle the Jubilee Party has announced that a coalition agreement has been reached.
Siaya Senator James Orengo, who is heading the 12-member committee, said there will be a "signing ceremony" tomorrow, Wednesday February 22.
Orengo was speaking to the press on Tuesday after a meeting with the team at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi.
Amani National Congress (ANC) deputy party leader Kipruto Arap Kirwa, while addressing the press, said the NASA technical committee has agreed on the general framework that will guide the coalition as it continues to prepare for August 8 polls.
Kirwa said they have also agreed on the guidelines of picking the Opposition's ideal candidate to take on Jubilee's President Uhuru Kenyatta, and that more details will be announced during tomorrow's ceremony.
He said NASA will field candidates for various positions, from MCA to the presidential candidate.
Raila Odinga (ODM), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya are all seeking NASA's presidential ticket. The members of the technical committee are Senators Orengo, Johnson Muthama, Agnes Zani, Boni Khalwale and MPs Eseli Simiyu, Sakwa Bunyasi, Francis Nyenze, Chris Wanalwa, Timothy Bosire, Farah Maalim and Arap Kirwa.
