For months now, the opposition team under Riala Odinga has been agitating for reforms through the assemblies, which the Jubilee leadership maintains that were illegal.

"We have suspended the people's assemblies to allow unity talks between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga," said top strategist David Ndii.

He further said in the Monday's press: "This is a new dawn and we shall ensure all reforms are pushed in the committee that will be set up."

Already, 16 NASA allied counties had initiated the bill that de-legitimized President Uhuru's leadership.

Among those that had disowned Uhuru are Kisumu, Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia, Bungoma, Homa Bay and Siaya.

Others include Kilifu, Mombasa, Taita Taveta, Migori, Tana River and Lamu Counties with some like Kisii and Nyamira retreating.
