Months after IEBC director of ICT Chris Msando's brutal murder fresh details have emerged regarding a suspect who was apprehended by the police for questioning.
According to latest news reaching newsrooms on Monday, one of the suspects has been set free over the lack of evidence.
Judge James Wakiaga ordered that the suspect Mr Andrew Kiprotich should be released since enough proof has not been given by the police force to have him detained.
Kiprotich will collect his items from Muthaiga police station where he had been held before he is formally discharged.
However, Wakiaga said Kiprotich who is an accountant at Ken Gen could be re-arrested should the ongoing investigations link him to the murder.
He had been detained for 14 days after a successful application by police.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old who was found with the phone that was used to send threatening messages to the late Msando is still in police custody at the Muthaiga police station.
