Students at Kaimosi Boys High School woke up to a burning dormitory on Friday morning.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established and it becomes the second school to burn down in Vihiga County after Givole Secondary School a week earlier.
Some schools in Kenya and especially in Kisii County have reported their properties being burnt down by students.
At Kaimosi, it was reported that one of the dormitories in the school caught fire.
The fires are being blamed on Cabinet Secretary of Education Fred Matiang’i who is said to have changed the high school curriculum without consulting stakeholders.
Politicians have also had their share of the blamed for setting a bad example for the high school going children by holding illegal demonstrations and talking ill of students involved in burning school properties.
