Nyatike MP Peter Anyanga has been disqualified from taking party in the ODM nominations set for Friday. The MP, who was knocked out of the race by ODM’s National Elections Board, was found guilty of using the names of ODM and party leader Raila Odinga to justify his misconduct. A special sitting of the ODM National Elections Board, which was held at Orange House on Thursday, also found that the member of parliament had a hand in perpetuating violence during the last party primaries, forged and falsified party documents, bribed voters and compromised election officials. “Hon Peter Edick Omondi Anyanga is forthwith disqualified from participating in the nominations slated for tomorrow,” the decision of the board read in part. The ODM primaries for the Nyatike parliamentary seat are set to be held on Friday from 6am to 5pm.
