ODM Natioanal Election Board has called off Siaya county primaries that were slated to begin Monday, April 24.

The cancellation comes a few hours after Kisumu nominations were also called off, Sunday night, by the same board due to security challenges.

In a statement by the ODM director of communications Philip Etale, the exercise was cancelled due to inevitable circumstances.

“Due to unavoidably circumstances ODM NEB postpones Siaya and Kisumu counties primaries to tomorrow Tuesday 25th April 2017,” said Etale, Monday.

The nomination exercise for the party is underway in Homabay and Migori counties as earlier planned
