One person has been confirmed dead following the collapse of a five storey building in Nairobi’s Huruma estate.

Four casualties were rushed to the hospital after the Sunday's 1:30 am tragedy. 

Several people are feared to be trapped inside the building.

Rescue efforts by the National Police Service, Nairobi County, Kenya Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders among others are underway. 

The residents have been told to keep off the scene to avoid more people being injured.
