One person has died this morning after an accident involving a Nairobi-bound bus and a saloon car at Konza in Makueni county.

The bus, belonging to Mash company, is said to have been overtaking dangerously when it rammed into the small car.

The driver of the saloon car died on the spot and his body has been taken to Machakos Level 5 Hospital mortuary.

The driver of the Mash bus is reported to have gone into hiding. 

Police are looking for him as they investigate the matter.
