[Photo|Nasa coalition]Immediate Meru Governor Peter Munya has officially joined the National Super Alliance (Nasa).The PNU party leader who lost to Kiraitu Murungi of Jubilee Party in the August 8 polls, was admitted to the Raila Odinga-led coalition, Monday afternoon.Munya joined the opposition, flanked by several PNU leaders during a meeting at Nasa's Capitol Hill Offices, Nairobi.
The former Council of Governors (CoG) chairman during his campaigns, pledged support for President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election, despite allegations by Kiraitu that Munya was a Nasa 'mole' in Jubilee.His move comes after Supreme Court nullified Uhuru's victory, setting stage for another presidential election in 60 days.
Also present during the admission were Nasa co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, and Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Kisumu County's Prof Anyang' Nyong'o among others.
