President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed Education Cabinet Secretary, Dr Fred Matiang'i, as the Acting Cabinet Secretary, for the Interior and Coordination Ministry.This is after the Interior and Coordination docket, Joseph Ole Nkaissery, passed on, Saturday morning.Nkaissery succumbed, after he was admitted at the Karen Hospital, for medical check up.During his address to the nation, at 10 am, from State House, President Kenyatta called for calm in the country, saying Nkaissery had left a big vacuum, especially now that the country heads to a general election.Matiang'i is known for his competency, after he reformed the Education sector, with stakeholders, and politicians hailing his track record.He will now hold two dockets, with Uhuru calling on Kenyans to cooperate, and help steer the serious, Interior docket.He said the decision was reached after he held a security meeting, with the national security committee.
