A primary school teacher has been murdered in Mwala, Machakos County.
The body of the teacher identified by police as Mr. Munyao was discovered along the road by passersby at Maweli Market on Friday morning.
Mwala police boss Henry Rukaria said the perpetrators escaped after committing the crime on Thursday night.
He said the body had deep cuts in the chest and head.
Rukaria who led security officers to the scene of crime said thorough probe will be conducted to bring the perpetrators to book.
“We will search in every nook and cranny until the offenders are apprehended and prosecuted," Rukaria said.
The locals are now living in fear following the incident that has shocked the entire Maweli community.
They called on the police to heighten security in the entire sub county so as to avert such criminal activities.
The body was moved to Machakos Level Five Hospital.
