The National Super Alliance (NASA) has postponed the controversial ‘swearing in’ of opposition leader Raila Odinga that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 12.

The move was announced in a brief press conference at Okoa Kenya offices by NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi Sunday evening.Mudavadi said the opposition will announce a new date for the swearing-in and launch of the people’s assembly later.

"Following internal consultations NASA advises the NASA fraternity that the swearing in of Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka has been postponed,” said Mudavad.

He was flanked by Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana.

“We wish to thank Mombasa for accepting to host the event,” added Mudavadi.
