The Mombasa High Court has thrown out Hassan Omar's petition challenging the election of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho
The court further orders Mr Omar to pay Sh8m as the cost of suit.
Early in January Omar withdrew the petition challenging Governor Hassan Joho's win in the August 2017 election citing a lack of neutrality from the presiding judge.
Kenyans have taken to social media to have their voices heard after the ruling that gives Joho five more years at the helm of the Coastal city.
